Since the first time my girlfriend and I visited this wonderful inn, we loved it. The restaurant serves the tastiest meals, (I liked the duck a lot) and the rooms are comfortable and quaint. We wanted to stay at an authentic New England Inn and the Old Riverton Inn is exactly that. Some of the details go back to the 1790's and there is a story about every part of the Inn. The inn was a bit creaky, but quaint and comfortable. It was the perfect place for my husband and I to relax after a day of fishing on the nearby river. We had been looking for a quiet, unpretentioius spot and found it at the Old Riverton Inn. more

The food at the restaurant is very nice; however the accomodations for overnight guests are terrible. My 80 year old mother stayed their for several nights.
