Front desk was friendly and helpful and the room was better than expected, even had a microwave and fridge. There were many cable channels and the bed was comfy. One problem: after an hour of crawling around on the floor, my baby's knees were BLACK! Checked my own feet and sure enough, it looked like I had walked barefoot on... more

we stayed here for one night on our way up to oregon. overall, it served the purpose of providing us with a place to rest and sleep. rooms were small but well equipped (there was even a mini refrigerator and microwave in each room. insulation wasn't too great as you can hear people talking right outside your room as if... more

I booked a night at this hotel but due to unforseen events I wouldn't get to the hotel until 3 or 4am so I inquired about cancelling the room on short notice. I was informed that if I cancelled that I had to pay for the room anyways so I said that we would still need the room for a... more

We stayed here during Kool April Nites in 2003. We arrived late in the afternoon and the motel was fully booked, so we were glad we had reservations for two nights. We were appointed a groundfloor room. Once we entered the room, we noticed the carpet hadn't been vacuumed properly. It looked like there had been furniture in one corner,... more

While the staff did not have the correct bed number or size as per our reservation, they more than made up for the lack by providing a roll-a-way for our child and very quickly too. We did not arrive until 9 pm and our child was quite sleepy, so this was very nice. Also, the desk clerk hauled our extremely... more

Ok- I have never actually submitted review before, but I could not let anyone else make the mistake of coming to this hotel after relying on the previous posts. I just checked in and got to my room. This is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. You will see from the pics I attached. When I got to... more

I'm an economy kind of guy....I love Red Roof Inns, but there wasn't one in Redding. The Ponderosa Inn was very nice, clean, close to downtown and in a pleasant and safe neighborhood. The price was reasonable for the accomodations, Internet access and the morning breakfast (Cheerios & Corn Flakes, muffins, fruit, coffee, orange juice, milk). I stayed 4 nights... more

My family (mother, sister, two daughters, and I) stayed here the night of Aug. 11 and would NEVER stay here again. I am amazed at the other excellent reviews, which was why I booked this place originally. At check-in, though I'd booked our room months in advance, we were told that there were no roll-away cots available. Either three of... more

My wife and I stayed at the Ponderosa for one night in June, 2004. The hotel's strengths were its decent rooms, relatively friendly staff, and nice swimming pool. The hotel is a bit hard to find and in a seemingly "backwater" location (there was nowhere open to eat on the night we arrived), and our reservation had been lost (whether... more
