After viewing our horrendous room at the Howard Johnson Redding (I'll be calling their corporate headquarters tomorrow), we went to Trip Advisor and saw that the Value Inn had very good reviews and cost the same as the HJ. Nice affordable place. Room was large and clean. Good breakfast in the morning. Good low priced place to stay, especially recommended for a quick stop over on I-5 in Northern California, and quite close to Mt Shasta/Shasta Lake. more

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days for work and it met my expectations. The rate was afforadable and reasonable. The office staff was very helpful. The room was nice and cooled for my arrival espically in the 100+ degree temperature. Even without a pool this place is worth while. Great customer service and everything worked in the room.... more
