We booked with Hotels[""]and upon arriving after a long drive from Lake Havasu we found the "resort" reception to be chained shut; the pool green with decayed water and squatters having entered the rooms through the many broken windows. To date we have received no notification of any problems from hotels[""]. Fortunately the hotel down the road (Quality Inn) had... more

I don't know where to start. This motel is not even close to being a resort let alone a hotel. I stayed for 2 nights and my experience was the worst ever. We were told this motel was under new management and had cleaned up its act. This was not the case. The jacuzzi's were not working, the pool appeared... more

I stayed at the Howard Johnson Resort (!) back in Dec 2002. What a dive! Being December the nights get very cold in the desert. My room was freezing and there was a inch gap between the bottom of the door and the floor (the room doors open onto the car park). The AC on heat did very little. I... more

I stayed at this hotel five years ago whilst on a coach tour and found it to be very nice with lovely surroundings. Recently returned from a two week driving trip around California so thought I would pick this hotel again for a one night stop. We were hugely dissappointed, the hotel was under new management and no longer a... more

This place was terrible. Carpet was stained, beds old with springs practically poking thru. The pool was dirty and the bottom rough and almost peeling up. They also had no pool towles or chairs available and they really weren't that crowded to be unable to provide towels. We tried the spa later that night and it was filthy, a dark... more

This place resembles a crack den more than a motel or "resort". I would rather sleep in my car (or anybody else's) than in this filthy, neglected, beat-down, trashy place. more

My two kids and I opened the door to a room of dissappointment. There was no air or heat. The switch was just hanging out of the wall. The walls were in need of paint. Our non smoking room smelled like someone stood in our room smoking all night. The carpet looked like it had not been cleaned. The blankets... more

I would not recommend Howard Johnson Hotel & Resort in Palm Springs to anyone. The first room they gave us was very mildewy smelling. I was afraid that I would get Legionnaires Disease. They gave us another room, as we were walking in the room there were cockroaches. At that point, I said let's get out of here, and we... more
