Great service – but hotel is OLD (they did their best putting lipstick on a pig), it was built for the Olympics in the 60s. Our room was incredibly loud – we could hear the conversations next door, kids crying, people flushing their toilet, & the people walking upstairs sounded like elephants. If you want to ski Squaw and walk across the street this is the place to stay. It is a cute boutique hotel with nice people at the desk. The restaurant is good and the breakfast is included and perfect for before skiing. For a winter getaway this was great. My only complaint is that you can hear the snow... more

We enjoyed staying at this whimsically-decorated hotel right near the Gondola at Squaw Valley. If you're skiing, this is a great location, though I define ski-in ski-out as being literally able to ski up to the door of the hotel, not having to walk through the ski area's base village and across a street.
