Easy to find, just off Highway 101, and a fairly short trip into Monterey centre. Hotel itself was excellent. Helpful staff, some nice touches like free internet from terminals at the hotel, complimentary tea/cookies upon arrival, fitness room etc. In my view, a good choice for an overnight stop, or as a base for visiting the Monterey peninsular and some... more

Paid $172/night to stay within 10 min walk to the wharf - that's a good price. Beats price of Marriott or DoubleTree. The Good: Best bed ever. The Bad: The rooms are old and do not look like the ones you see on their website. Don't be fooled. They're all about their lobby and spa, but little attention to rooms.... more

My husband wanted to get away for a relaxing weekend. We picked Monterey to go to the aquarium and enjoy a little coastal getaway. We chose the Casa Munras because we wanted a little more than hotel/motel feel but couldn't afford the stay at an upscale resort. We absolutely loved it! We checked in early and layed by the pool... more

WOW!!! You don't get much for your $$$$ at this hotel. Granted, the lobby is lovely. They should have put more attention on the rooms. I had a towel that had black greasy marks all over & was very thin. It looked like it had been used for a cleaning rag. The person at front desk said perhaps I had... more

We were so disappointed with our stay. The rooms were small, the walls paperthin and the parking lot congested. We were kept awake on our first night by partying from the rooms next door and downstairs from us. We could hear everyword people were saying. Yes, the lobby and staff were good and the proximity to attractions and restaurants but... more

Booked our stay thru Priceline for $110 (not inc taxes). Pros: Lobby - Guest refreshments served AM and PM. Business center - Small but efficient, free printing. On-Site Restaurant - appetizers and drinks only! Staff - Very friendly and quick service. Location - Within walking distance to a Trader Joes, Denny's, and Bakery across the street. Minutes drive to Cannery... more

Disappointed with this property. We stayed at the Casa Munras for the Tour D'elegance. The good: the staff--perfect, accommodating, professional, well-trained--would not be out of place at 5 star. Also, very comfy bedding and beds. The normal: clean facility and rooms. The bad: The reviews and online photos here misled us to expect Casa Munras was a pretty place with... more

We stayed here the last two nights of our holiday and we were really looking forward to something a little bit more special. The recepiton area is very modern and comfortable. Check in was efficient and the staff very helpful with local knowledge and advice. Complimentary internet access was a bonus. Although to have other people looking over your shoulder... more
