Spindrift Inn is definitely laid back though an upper scale stay. No self-parking lot here. It's strictly valet. Rooms are sizable. Our room faced the Cannery Row so we got a street view from our window seating area. If you've got little kids you may want to keep them away from the window seating area though for their own safety.... more

Staff was condescending to us from the start...The room was a big dissappointment and nothing like in the photos...Most memorably was the valet parker who gave attitude because I didn't have cash on me to tip him...and the hotel already charges for parking. I'd suggest passing and finding a nicer B&B, there are many in Monterey/Carmel. more
