I stayed at the Standard for three months on business and can therefore say that I have experienced everything the Standard has to offer, can't be bothered to offer, or offers begrudgingly.

Any guest who stays for an extended period of time, usually gets an unprecedented amount of positive attention from all of our staff...a three month stay as noted above should have been a home run! Sorry that your experience left only a poor taste in your mouth.
