Arg! I'm here right now and awake on the internet because I'm too nervous to sleep. So far I've squashed at least 6 very-well-fed little ticks that have been crawling across the sheets - and this was the first thing I saw when I entered the room and sat on the (very old,hard-sprung) bed. Haven't we got things that can... more

As the 2 out of 5 rating indicates, my stay was okay, but had some problems. The place is definitely old, the plaster on the ceiling of our room had apparently shrunk so much over the years that the crown molding was floating about two inches below it. That's not so severe a sin, of course, but it isn't attractive.... more

A few weeks before I arrived, I called to ensure that my reservation was accurate. At that time, the person I spoke with was very polite and helpfull. I was surprised because of the reviews I had read concerning staff unfriendliness. When I arrived at the hotel, the staff was eager to answer my plethora of questions concerning directions and... more

The hotel was not as bad as reviewed. The lobby needs to be redone and the elevators may or may not take you to your floor, but we stayed on the 3rd floor and had a very big room. We had a king size bed, a full bath (with a second vanity area), and a nice sitting area. The room... more

After reading all the reviews I was apprehensive in booking this hotel but since I was only staying one night and the location is convenient to what I had to do, I thought I would grin and bear the "bad" conditions described by past guests. To my surprise, 3rd floor was big, no kidding, with good size bathroom and very... more

A dump! Ugly! The room was so small, you could not open the bathroom door all the way. The varnish was coming off the furniture. The chairs were heavily stained. The forgot to give me my wake up call TWICE! They didn't clean out the coffee maker in my room but that was OK because they didn't leave me any... more

As expected from other reviews, I stayed during a convention due to its location and price, I just needed a place to sleep and shower. Yes, small old rooms, with tiny bathrooms, very similar to many European hotels I've stayed at, and the breakfast area needed updating in a bad way. Also, don't expect you're keycard to work. The keycards... more

While attending a convention in downtown Los Angeles, we chose to stay at the Ritz Milner due to the comparitively low price. Other reviews warned of an aged building with small rooms, tiny bathrooms, and less than charming ambience. This is not a hotel for someone needing pampering. All these criticisms were spot on, but since we were expecting them,... more

I was going to LA for a convention, and wanted to save money on a hotel. The Ritz-Milner was the absolute cheapest place to stay that was within a few blocks of the LACC. You can tell that it's an older hotel that has had some renovations. The bed was a bit firm, but all I was in LA to... more

we arrived at the ritz after a long flight from australia. the front of the hotel and the lobby looked good. our room was ok. adequate space and clean enough but a bit worn and tatty. had no view from the window (well just a brick wall) and the room was dark day and night, not a big problem as... more
