This is a lovely hotel in a quiet location near the beach. We quickly made friends with the wonderful barman Noe who is a local legend. He introduced us to the delights of American cocktails! We found the reception staff to be lovely and very helpful-they found me a hairdresser(thank you Megan), gave travel/restaurant advice and got our clothes washed.... more

Many of the mixed reviews depict the La Playa accurately. It is an older property, from early 20th century. Accordingly, it has all the pluses and minuses of such a property. Common rooms are nice.
