This hotel bills itself as the best in Bakersfield. If this is true, I'd hate to see the ones that were really bad. The hotel is at best average. The interior is drab, the rooms are drab, the carpets are drab, the furniture is drab, the bathrooms are drab, and their entire theme seems to be "drab." Having said that,... more

I booked my room through Hotwire for $65 per night. Flew into LAX from Honolulu on Sunday 06/08 and wanted to be out and away from LA by Monday morning. We picked up my car and drove 2 hours to Bakersfield on our way back to Reno. Upon arrival at the Doubletree the place seemed spacious and spread out. The... more

This hotel is decent. Right off the highway. Didn't pay full price, and if I had, I probably would be really annoyed. The rooms were pretty large, but the beds were pretty small. Nice bathroom. Biggest complaint is that the pool was really cold, and even more disappointing, the hot tub was cold. Like I said, we didn't pay full... more

Had to spend the night in Bakersfield and figured the Doubletree would be a safe bet. WRONG! As a Hilton Honors I was offered a rate higher than Expedia or Orbitz but booked anyway since we were driving all day from Kingman AZ. Got to the lobby and sensed there were problems but had no idea how bad it was.... more

I was the speaker at an event there this year. I stayed in the hotel also and the staff was top notch. Will in the cafe was my best buddy after the week. The entire staff treated me special. I hope the event staff book this hotel again,I would love to return. more

I have a friend visiting from out of town and want to find her a really decent place to stay. Bakersfield's not chock full of attractions so at least I can find her a nice hotel. I visited the Doubletree off of Rosedale Highway and found the best, most courteous people assisting me. They even gave me some of those... more

Coordinated rooms for 7 of us. Everything was easy. Everyone was friendly and helpful at the hotel. Rooms were excellent. They were very clean and quite. Members of my party and I ate at the hotel and the food was great. Coffee and water pitchers were frequently filled and never went dry. Definitely would recommend this hotel to everyone. I... more

I stayed at the doubletree in bakersfield because they have federal rates and I do not have to pay out of my pocket. The front desk at check in and checkout was nice and professional to me. I felt like I was at home. The restaurant have good food also. My only suggestion is to give breakfast for free and... more

I stayed at this hotel for one night on a business trip. This hotel is SERIOUSLY outdated. Wall paper in the vanity area was beginning to peel. Color scheme throughout the hotel was straight out of the 80's! Layout of hotel rooms, elevators, and lobby was not convenient at all. Drive up entrance doors were not convenient to elevators. There... more

My husband and I booked this hotel very last minute on Priceline for $60 a day. We made reservations for the same night. A pretty good price! Upon check in, we received our warm chocolate cookies and then drug our luggage through the hotel maze. Had we known our room was nearly 3 blocks away from the front desk, we... more
