Bearing in mind that different standards apply in Jordan, this was a pretty nice stay (better than the other 2 hotels in Jordan we stayed at). The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean & the breakfast buffet had plenty of choice. There are 2 pools, one a traditional oblong & the other more modern. Neither is huge, but they... more

I am pretty ambivalent about this hotel. We booked directly with the hotel, reserved two rooms, one triple ($95 a night) and one double ($70). The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk to the entrance to the site, so it is a big advantage. When we checked in we received two rooms in the western wing (I am not... more

My sister and I spent 3 nights at the Petra Palace during our visit to Petra. I was a bit apprehensive after reading the reviews, but found that the hotel was just fine and the staff quite friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second floor and had a queen bed and a twin bed. The room was a... more

The location of the hotel can't be better ... you just walk down the feet a few hundred meters and into the gates of Petra. Five of us stayed in two rooms on the 6th floor (really the third floor of a second building, oddly). Neither room had hot water or water pressure at all - by the second day... more

This hotel is nothing out of the ordinary. Most has been already said by others. the thing to remember about this hotel is its close proximity to Petra Gates. Once you finish your day walking in Petra it is nice to know that your hotel is just a short walk away not way up on top of the hill. You... more

I was supposed to stay in Amra Palace Hotel, but they didn't have any room so they put us up in Petra Palace instead. You couldn't get any closer to the entrance to Petra and stay in as nice of a place. The hotel expanded recently and so the rooms/architecture are a bit piece-meal, but the rooms are nice and... more

A well run family hotel. You cannot compare it to the local 5star hotels but the staff are helpful and friendly and the food was good. The rooms airy and clean and the bonus is that it is only a few minutes walk to the entrance of Petra and next door to the few restaurants that are safe bets to... more

During the family tour of Jordan, we had two nights at the Petra Palace (it might have been a Palace once, but it sure ain't now!) The one good thing about this place is that it is 100m from the entrance to Petra but that's all that can be said for it. Rooms are small, stink of smoke and generally... more

i spent 7 nights at this hotel, my room was clean, the sheets smelt sweet, the sliding door led onto the pool and restaurant, staff were brilliant, food pretty average but well cooked. true it needs some new carpets but please remember this is a private hotel not a big consortium with money to burn. very good value next to... more
