I booked this for my husbands 50th, we had had a party on the friday with family so were going to have a lovely romantic night on the saturday, what a terrible disappointment. The room cost £125.00 for one night in a superior room , if that was their superior room i dread to think what their standards were like.... more

We stayed on a Saturday night. We weren't told until we arrived that our room was directly above the function suite and they had no other room to move us to. They had a noisy wedding party that evening (it's a very popular venue for such events it seems). We (including our two small children) had to endure hours during... more

we stayed here for a Friday night in May. Contrary to some reviews on this site, we stayed in room 14 which was great - tastefully furnished, large flat screen TV, refurbished bathroom and twin aspect views. Breakfast was large and tasty. Didn't get a chance to use the pool and spa. No functions on when we stayed (we called... more

Just returned from a great 2 day break mountain biking in the brecon beacons. Having read the article in mbr magazine on the area - just had to come. I wanted somewhere centrally located to all the trails, but not staying in a campsite/ or bunk house as is usually the norm. After some research came up with the manor... more

A great location, with wonderful service. From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. The people were really kind and no hassle with signing checks every five minutes. The food was fantastic! together with the service, we felt like we were in some tip top london hotel, this was however much nicer and amazingly good value. Would recommend this... more

My wife and I have literally just returned from a very disappointing weekend booked for our wedding anniversary. I am so angry about it that I have come on line straight away to write a review... Where do I start ? The room we booked had a lovely view (apart from the skip - see below) and all seemed reasonably... more

Hotel is perched up above the main road just outside Crickhowell and the room that we had offered amazing views of the Brecon Beacons. Room was spacious, bed was super comfortable and all the staff treated us like we were VIPs. Suffice it to say that the service was outstanding at all times and the food really is amazing -... more

I wish I had paid more attention to the negative reviews below! I booked a superior room for my husband's birthday this weekend just gone, and like one of the reviewers below had expected something a bit special (for £120) but was seriously disppointed - don't under any circumstances let them fob you off with Room 14: really small, shabby,... more

I am writing in complete defence of the Manor, in my opinion one of the best venues in wales. I got married here two years ago and hold the Hotel very close to my heart - my day was absolutely perfect in every way (except the weather) the wedding co-ordinator was very accomodating; especially considering the weather was dreadful -... more

Only stayed for one evening but was very impressed. The plus points being its location, the tasteful decor and the genuine friendliness of all of the staff. Slight negative for the size of the bathroom but merely a minor point. Bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and my only regret was that I didn't have the opportunity to... more
