Ahhh...after a trip filled with hostels (we booked this with Marriot Points saved up from my boyfriend's business trips)...it was sweet. The beds were oh so comfy and the bathroom although it did have a funky smell was large and palacial. The breakfast spread was Argentinian but good. The staff helpful and friendly. No complaints about this place especially when... more
The breakfast was good. The rooms were in good condition. The security was alright. The only thing that I didn't like was the Sunday Brunch. more
the hotel is pretty old but in a great location. You can do better with that budget. Was way below my expectations. Great breakfast! more
The Marriott is located near great shopping on Florida street downtown. The hotel is an historic restoration, but the rooms are archaic. We had a handicapped room for my wife. The toilet never did operate properly despite the maintenance man's effort. The special elevator to access the main elevator bank on the second floor was tiny and had two sets... more
Excellent location, however, hotel is not a good value , must use stairs to reach the elevator OR request to sue the metal cage elevator each time you want to go or leave your room, go to restaurant or bar. The pool is closed for the season (no one told us0, the jacuzzi is a bathtub, currently w/o water and... more

It is a fine old facility which has been modernized, but it is still an old facility. The rooms were clean, everything worked. Unfortunately we booked through a Princess cruise and it was an absolute goat-rope... more
We stayed here on Marriott points for four nights. The hotel was so full that there were no upgrade possibilities. The first room we were given was a smoking room. Unacceptable. It was quite a wait to get a second room. That room was fairly small -- you could not really close the door while standing by the toilet. Needless... more
Charming and beautifully renovated old building in a gerat location. Near subway and bus transportation and at the start of the pedestrian Calle Florida, some of the best shopping in Buenos Aires. Large rooms with high ceilings and exquiste beds. Some rough spots with service, but management (after commenting) intends to improve. more
