Sabi River Run Resort is a superb holiday destination. I have owned 4 weeks timeshare there for the last 5 years. The Hotel rooms are in constant use from coach tours so get a bit tired at times, but, the facilities are super and the staff attentive. The golf course is a great challenge and you can play 7 days a... more

We stayed in one of the timeshare chalets for a week in January. What a beautiful property!! The golf course meanders around small clusters of chalets, each group of eight or ten having its own swimming pool. The central office/hotel buildings have a small store, a travel office, the golf shop, and dining facilities. In the late afternoon, many guests... more

We stayed at Sabi River Sun in a timeshare chalet in January 2007 and enjoyed the experience so much that not only did we purchase 2 weeks timeshare, we are heading back this year! On arrival you should expect to be greated by the smiles of the very polite and smartly attired entrance security. The grounds are impressive and extremely... more

At very short notice I required three rooms for a Friday nite in the Lowveld area of Mpumalanga, and the Sabi River Sun was able to accomodate us. There simply was nothing else available, and we were not expecting too much as reviews have been luke-warm. We were warmly welcomed at reception, rooms were spotless and two double beds in... more

I stayed at this resort early July 2007. It is has a spectacular setting and the gardens are manicured, though the rooms are, in my opinion overdue for a refurbishment. Our stay was spoiled by unfriendly service and poor quality. In the midst of a South African winter, there was no hot water in the shower. Later on, I needed... more

We stayed here in wonderful villa over Easter 2006. There were 7 of us, 5 of them children. We actually got married in the resort nad it was just perfect! The hotel sorted it all out for us - we were very happy. Loads for the children to do, ours ranged from 8 - 18. Villas are wonderful and serviced... more

In September I went to South Africa for business/pleasure. I wanted to visit Kruger National Park. Initially I wanted to stay inside the park. This was not possible because reservations must be made sometime in advance. I had two requirements close proximity to Johannesburg, and a reasonable price. My sister recommended the Sun Hotels since she is a frequent member,... more

We stayed at the Sabi River Sun Hotel as our base for nearby tours of Kruger Park. When you first enter through the gates, you are struck by the wonderful grounds - beautiful golf course, wonderful pool area, and the vast expanse of property that makes up the resort. The hotel is a small part of the property; the remainder... more

We stayed at the Sabie River Sun in December, '04 with our teenage daughters, and the whole family really enjoyed it. The pool and grounds were very clean and well manicured. We also liked the 5k running path around the golf course. Most impressive of all were the hippos we saw in the river. The service at the hotel's restaurant... more

Stayed at the Sabi River Sun in August 2004. It really is a beautiful location though the armed guards at the main gate took some getting used to. The fixtures and fittings in the room was a bit tired but very clean. It was situated in a block fairly close to the restuarant and reception. Some of the chalets or... more
