We stayed for 4 nights at the Hotel Bora Bora where the staff were so divine that our stay there became a magical experience. The hotel staff were relaxed and friendly. At dinner our Polynesian waiter, in Polynesian traditional dress, told us a story from the history of the islands, and not in an in your face way, rather in... more

This was our second time to Bora Bora, but our first time at Hotel Bora Bora. We had heard many wonderful things about Hotel Bora Bora, and were fortunate to experience this hotel before its upcoming renovation. The magic started when we arrived. The hotel manager greeted us at the dock with 2 glasses of champagne and chatted casually with... more

Doing research for our once-in-a-lifetime (re: EXPENSIVE) honeymoon, I was torn between two properties - the original Hotel Bora Bora with the excellent service and another brand name property that was slightly bigger and had newer facilities and bungalows. What really drew me to HBB was the fact that all the reviewers gave it such a high rating, despite the... more

We feel fortunate to have experienced a stay at Hotel Bora Bora before it closes for its remodel in October 2008. As previous reviewers have noted, it may not have all the trappings of the St Regis or Thallaso, but it has everything we desired. We were looking for a family vacation that provided an escape from our hectic lives... more

My husband and I had booked five days at Hotel Bora Bora before a Paul Gauguin cruise. After one day at the hotel, we wished we had booked the entire vacation at the HBB. This was the most beautiful/natural place I've ever stayed. I've traveled the world and stayed at many 5 * hotels, but the HBB has a kind... more

This is a truly amazing property. My partner and I debated between the Hotel Bora Bora and the much newer St. Regis. Although the Hotel Bora Bora is due for a refurbishment and some features need to be updated this is an incredible and highly memorable property. Best things about the property: - Location (the 3 best beaches on the... more

We spent about a month in French Polynesia, including Rangiroa, Taha'a, and a chartered catamaran (all fantastic), and Bora Bora was our final stop before heading home. Our travel agent had originally suggested we stay at the St. Regis Bora Bora, but after 2 disastarous days (please see my review, "St. Regis: Patron Saint of Poor Service"), we moved to... more

We felt as if we had the whole hotel, actually whole Island, to ourselves at Hotel Bora Bora. This has to be one of the most beautiful locations on for a hotel in the world. We stayed in an overwater Bungalow, (after Trip Advisor advice on selecting a higher numbered buglalow, I think we had #124) which had uninterupted views... more

We stayed in both Moorea and Bora Bora. Although everything is expensive in Tahiti, we had a great trip. Very nice people, and the food is much better than we had heard. Stayed at the Sofitel in Moorea, very nice but no character. Hotel Bora Bora's rooms are a bit dated, felt like we were in the 60's at times,... more

We ADORED our stay at the Hotel Bora Bora. We also stayed a few nights at the St. Regis. There is NO comparison. Both are lovely hotels, but the St. Regis was a luxury hotel like you can find anywhere. The staff at the Hotel Bora Bora made us feel at home from the first moment we arrived. The grounds... more
