Was recommended by a friend. Beautiful setting on a lush hillside well above the ocean -- one of the best I've encountered in my travels. What an incredible Valentines Day! My wife and I had been traveling through Costa Rica and kept hearing about this secluded retreat in the hills of Malpais. This place is by far the best place to stay in Mal Pais. Unbeleivable coastal views droping out of the infinity pool. The bungalows spacious clean beutifully crafted. Too bad, this could be the best hotel in town if it wasn't for the terrible management, the location is stunninig. However the owners seem to view running the hotel as an inconvience to themselves. The food is way overpriced and not very good and the owners get annoyed whenever you don't eat there. Expect to feel more like paying... more
