My wife and I were at the Oberoi Mumbai for the last three days of our trip. This is probably the best hotel we've ever stayed in. The view of the sea from our room was breathtaking, the restaurants were great (a bit expensive though), and the service was unbelieveable. The little extras really make the biggest diference when you... more

Primarily a city/business hotel, well located in South Bombay, the Oberoi still has quite a lot of charm, particularly considering it occupies a really ugly concrete cube... Service was the usual very good Oberoi standard. Staff was particularly efficient and attentive on our stay. Facilities are good, although the pool is a little small. But bear in mind all facilities... more

A glorious atrium and wonderful flowers make this a peaceful haven in a bustling city. It even has its own shopping arcade next to the hotel! The only (slight) problem we encountered was over our checking out bill. We were on a b&b tarriff and for some reason a charge for breakfast appeared. There was also some confusion over the... more

Great short stay style hotel. very business-y, in finance district. great staff. Really nice rooms, but suites are tiny so god only knows what size standard rooms are. Breakfasts were great. Nice pool. Spa (Banyan Tree) pretty good. We got into Mumbai on the late BA flight so the excellent and effiecient service and check in was very much appreciated. more

This was my second business trip to Mumbai in the last 3 years. I stayed at another hotel on my last trip and was looking forward to another great stay in Mumbai. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the hotels appearance. The room was clean, but worn. Upon arrival I had no hot water. They did move me to another room... more

Stayed there in January for 8 days on a business trip. The Oberoi has a large, airy atrium. Rooms were very nice - with a decent sized desk for working on, an LCD TV and broadband that was dead easy to get up and running. Rooms were kept spotless and cleaning staff very friendly. Bed was very comfortable (I think... more

Having paid a hefty sum to stay here (Hilton was full) I was expecting a lot more. Friends were staying in the Hilton so it was easy to compare room and Hilton rooms are far better. The ambience and lobby of the Oberoi are what you expect; oustanding. However, rooms are basic and disappointing and certainly not deserving of their... more

Stayed there over 2008 New Years. Hotel is pretty good for business stay. Room decor was not my cup of tea (colonial wood, I prefer more modern) but very clean, great bed/bathroom. My only complaint was the restaurant in the lobby. Sunday brunch was like $50 price-fixe. That is clearly meant for the expense account customers (although your boss will... more

My first stay in this hotel. I was on business for three nights. Previously, I have stayed at Tajmahal hotel, so I thought I would try this out for a change and also for the nice location around Nariman point.. My flight arrived late in the evening. Although, I had guaranteed my room for late arrival with a credit card,... more

A superb hotel. It's built around a massive 8 storey atrium (hard to imagine that happening now, with Mumbai land prices having rocketed). Rooms are large and comfortable. Staff are helpful and responsive, without exception. Great gym, with a fantastic personal trainer. Pool is better than the Hilton Towers for doing lengths, but the Hilton's is deeper so better for... more
