Pretty good overall. After reading some of the other reviews, I actually booked a backup hotel just in case. I did not need it. The room was clean. The mattresses comfortable. I stayed in this hotel back in November and we loved it so much my fiance and I are getting married there on the Garden Terrace. The view is incredible and the service is fantastic. The hotel is not your typical chain hotel which makes it appealing to me. The breakfast was great too! I would recommend it to try. more

Never again will i stay there. The place is really run down, water stains everywhere on the ceilings, very out dated, and the customer service was terrible. Looks nothinglike the pics on internet. The lady over charged us by $70.00 and tried to pocket it. Luckly we caught it before we left. more

The AltaVista is disgustingly run down. Drapes, linens, carpet etc. are at least 10-20 years old, and the A/C cover was mostly off, leaving the interior machinery exposed. Actually, I was surprised at the reviews. Is it really the same place I stayed? The decor was excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, and the rooms were great. I loved the view. This is where I stay all of the time and would recommend it to anyone. more

We recently stayed at the Alta Vista and I have to say that I didn't find it to be a dive. The view was very nice from the patio (our room wasn't on the side of the hotel with the city view) and the breakfast was very good and included in the rate. However, the tv reception wasn't so good... more
