As already stated in a previous review the beach front is the worst place to stay on Ilha Grande: you come here to 'get away from it all' right? here you'll find yourself in front of the busiest pier where boats hunt for day-trippers (daytime, starting around 7 AM) -right onto the beach where evrybody ends up after having a... more

We stayed at this B&B for three nights. The hotel is right on the beach and has a very good restaurant (the best of the island). The rooms are upstairs. My girlfriend and I happened upon this place while walking down the beach, just outside of the town center. It's literally right on the beach, and the waves do indeed lull you to sleep at night. This pousada (bed and breakfast) was so beautiful, it took us back in time. We were three adults travelling together and had had a bad experience at the previous pousada (Riacho dos Cambucas).
