My husband and I stayed at this Hawthorn Suites a few years ago for a Six Flags weekend and they have upgraded since then. I thought it was great. The new bathroom fixtures and linens were nice. Lots of pillows for our king size bed. We stayed at this hotel because of the balconies. My husband and I smoke but... more

Hotel was a really good deal overall. However, I had been counting on the fact that the free wireless internet would work. After 1/2 an hour on the phone w/ tech support, they called the front desk and apparently the hotel has a few rooms that don't get wireless for one reason or another. Since this was one of the... more

We stayed at this hotel while on a family vacation to Six Flags for our 25th Anniversary and were highly disappointed. We had read reviews that said this hotel had small bathrooms, but I never expected to have to step into the bathtub in order to shut the door! When we first stepped into the room, it was obvious that... more

What a great hotel! The staff was wonderful. The suite was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchenette was great. The bathroom was a bit small, but the dressing area made up for it. The walk-in closet was bigger than my closet at home. The breakfast buffet was fully stocked and was delicious. I would highly recommend a stay at this... more

When we pulled up this hotel we knew something was not right. The building is an old (and I mean Old!) apartment complex converted to be a hotel. There are 3 or 4 different buildings. Upon check in I asked the girl if I could see the room before we checked in. She was very helpful and let us see... more

Hawthorn Suites was ok, but I won't stay there again. This Hawthorn is an older suites hotel. It was older than I expected, but it was clean. The bed was pretty comfortable and the kitchen area was clean, but the furniture, cabinets, walls and carpet showed the age. When we arrived, it was immediately following some really bad storms which... more

I knew that we had booked a suite just to have extra sleeping space and privacy for our daughter we had been planning on taking. At the last minute, she did not go along but, we kept the reservation anyway. I expected a separate bedroom from the combined living and kitchen area. We got that and then some. The kitchen... more

We stayed in a two room suite with another couple. We are all in our mid 20's and were on a 4 day get away to Texas. The room suited us perfectly. It had two spacious bedrooms with a living room and kitchen in between. The rooms were in very good shape and the kitchen had every appliance and utensil... more

I'm amazed that this property is included in the Hyatt family of hotels. There is nothing of the Hyatt quality to be found here. Was expecting something similar to the lovely Homewood Suites of Hilton. Not so! Quite old....25-30 years...and it shows. Dark, dingy rooms....and, a pet peeve, housekeeping had not bothered to plug in all light fixtures & alarm... more

Good Value. We stayed there last July and are planning on another stay this year. Just made the reservations. Very quiet place to stay and the staff was friendly. It was close to the attractions we wanted to see and it was on the Trolley stop so that saved on parking fees at the attractions. We thought the breakfaxt was very... more
