It's a good hotel for Malaysians who want to go shopping as it's right in the middle of the town for us to get our chocs , cloths, household stuff etc. For foreigners who want the sun, sand and sea, i would not advise this hotel.... more

If you are staying in Kuah, the City Bayview is probably a good place. Staff on the whole are friendly but perhaps a bit downcast. stayed here in jan 2008 during the off peak season, booked via local malaysian travel agency and paid around RM160 (USD 40-50) per night. Pretty decent. Not beach front though, however walking distance to the major banks, duty free shops, restaurants. more
