I have stayed at this hotel many times since my first trip in 1999. It used to be called the SunGarden. As far as I can tell, the only thing the Nikko chain has done to the hotel is raise the prices. I paid 10,500 Yen in April 2006 and then 19,000 Yen in May 2007 for the same room.... more

国際都市にふさわしいホテルです。国宝姫路城があり国際観光都市なのですが、これまで外国の観光客や高級ホテルを利用される方には姫路は寂しい限りでした。数年前三井系のホテル姫路サンガーデンとしてオープンしたホテルを日航が買い取ったようです。なので雰囲気もスタンスも全国にある日航ホテルとは異なります。一部改装を行なっていますが全く異なります。部屋は白を基調にした広めでツインは十分の広さがあります。地下が駐車場、1階2階がレストラン、フロントは2階にあります。駅から徒歩5分と立地が良く、ビジネスっぽいですが高級感もありベットもシックなフカフカで良く眠れました。姫路のホテルの中では一番良いです。高層階は姫路城を見る事が出来ますが7階から下階は新幹線の高架があって見えませんので注意が必要です。チェックインの際、一言「お城の見える部屋」にと、お願いすると良いです。北側正面に浮かび上がるお城は幻想的です。駐車場の入り口が判りづらいのが難点。駐車場も広いのですが料金がかかるのが難点です。無料が良いです。 more
