This is a wonderful hotel that is far superior to an average Four Seasons in the US. The staff got out of the way to assist me with my incessant questions about restaurants and my travel arrangements. I did notice that they almost always have at least one staff who is a native speaker of English on duty. (All of... more

This was the first place we stayed at on our trip to Japan. I was so impressed with the whole experience at this establishment. I was overwhelmed with the service which still exists in this country. The people here were very friendly and polite and their can do attitude was refreshing. The food at this hotel was outstanding! Everything I... more

I travel to Tokyo for business extensively and had stayed in several hotels in Tokyo. Four Seasons at Chinzan-so is my favorite. It is a home away from home and in the last 2 years have spent 30+ nights there. I choose to stay at this hotel despite the proximity to the office. I appreciate the fine service at the... more

I started my days here at 6am with a soak in the outdoor hot tub, which is made from stone and looks very natural with tree branches arching over it and a waterfall next to it, completeing the illusion that you are in the woods, not in the world's largest city. There is also an indoor hottub with a floor... more

We stayed four nights at this hotel while on vacation and what stood out most was the flawless service executed with genuine warmth and helpfulness. This hotel absolutely ranks very highly in terms of the FS experience. Before detailing the great service, it is worth noting that the location of the hotel can be a bit out of the way... more

This hotel was chosen as a business conference site and is definitely one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in for business. The skyline view that I could see sitting on my bed from my room on the top floor (15th?) was beautiful. I liked all the amenities and appointments of the room, especially the french milled soap. As... more

If you find central Tokyo is lacking in greenery and tranquility, just a little way off the beaten Ginza-Shinjuku path in a modest residential area is an oasis, albeit a pricey one. The crowning glory of this hotel, apart from the cheerful attentive service, is the beautiful hilly Japanese garden, complete with colourful koi carp-stocked pond and 16th-century pagoda. You... more

We love Tokyo!!! This city is just amazing for culture and night life. We just returned from a great week there and stayed at the Four Seasons Chinzan-so. Overlooking an amazing garden, you feel like you are away from it all but still so close. The Spa is incredible. After a day of going to Kamakura to see the big... more

Our stay in the Four Seasons Tokyo , was a memorable week in November 2005. This hotel is a very big and very busy hotel. It is set in front of a wonderful Japanese garden with one of only four pagodas in Tokyo. Our room was a large deluxe room facing the garden. The Garden view is a must and... more

Four Seasons always have good hotels and as hotels go there is nothing wrong with this one except ... it is miles out of Tokyo central and 2 hours from the airport! If you are into Japanese gardens it is probably worth a stay as it is next to one of the best but if you are here on business... more
