I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past two years, as my daughter goes to SUNY Albany, which is right across the street. My family stayed at the TownePlace Suites on June15, 2007. Since we have four children, we reserved a family suite. This property is a franchise of Marriott so DO NOT expect a Marriott level property. The overall property is run down and is not kept up. Our family stayed here for two nights. Everything was pretty nice, the rooms were clean, well stocked with extra towels, and pillows. The staff seemed pretty nice. The breakfast buffet was nothing spectacular. Nothing more than we have experienced at other Fairfield Inns or Marriots. We stayed overnight here for one night in July 2005. Hotel was nice and room was clean. Only complaint was that the walls were thin; we could hear our neighbor's TV set (loud) through the wall. Nice continental breakfast in AM but room needs more seating for everyone. more

I am a regular business traveler to Albany and I try to stay at the Town Place Suites as often as possible. The rooms a clean and spacious, the staff is friendly and it's close to shopping and restaurants. They have a full kitchen, plenty of closet space good housekeeping, and now a free breakfast for those on the go. more
