I had read other reviews before staying here and tried to organised alternative accommodation because I think $USD200 a night for a hotel in India is extravagant. Unfortunately, being a business trip, the booking was out of my control. I only stayed here for two nights, but it really wasn't worth $200. The room was very small and the bathroom... more

As I write this I am currently staying at this hotel. It's 2 a.m. and construction continues unabated outside of rooms on both sides of the hotel. Fortunately, the "house band" wrapped up their performance for the night a few hours ago. Note that all of this noise is clearly enough to keep one awake on both the lower an... more

The staff were very nice and the main restaurant was pretty good, however, my room was just okay cleanliness-wise and had a severe musty smell (probably due to the carpet ,which is not present in a lot of other hotels I have stayed at in Pune). Noise also drifts up from the lobby. This place is fairly expensive and there... more

The lobby looks nice and presentable, but the room was not. We paid USD280 for a double room and it looks no more than a USD50 room, despite it being a BEST WESTERN. There was a foul smell emitting from the fridge as the hotel staff did not clear the leftover food from the previous guest. Also, we had a... more

My first visit to India, and having read the reviews of this Hotel, I certainly would not have chosen to stay at the Pride. However, as others have commented, to stay at one of the three "western standard hotels" in Pune, it is necessary to book at least 6 weeks ahead of arrival. The dates for my trip were "fluid"... more

Where do I start ... the staff is attentive and try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The lobby restaurant has both local and international cuisine. I stayed here for 10 days and was kept awake every night by the loud music being played at the terrace restaurant, which was outside my window. Nice for dining, horrible for... more

I have stayed there short while ago. It is not a 5 Star hotel at all (!as described in [--]) either indian or western style. The carpet at the loby need to change, it is smelly. And the staffs need to be educated to speak with responsibility when they talk with their customers, speak english alone is no more enough.... more

I accept that business travel is often like roulette. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose. This trip the bank definitely won! The hotel is *extremely* dated; I'm guessing by the style of furnishing - lots of bleached wood, tinted mirrors and black marble that the the last time it saw any kind of attention was around 1983. The public areas... more

Well where do I start!! The lost our booking at reception and we did not get the room we booked. We had booked the presidential suite but ended up in another suite right next to the workmens enterance to the renevations. When we booked a fortnight before we were not told of the renovations. We were woken early in the... more

When I booked this hotel via net agent they did not say it was undergoing a major lobby refit, not very good if you want to invite clients. This was an alternative to the one I wanted but proposed as an equivalent or superior, oh no I don't think so. The people try hard but it does not make up... more
