We stayed here from December 14th for a week to soak up some sun before the madness of Christmas. We upgraded to a beach front villa and weren't disappointed. The room was immaculate with the most comfortable bed and enormous pillows! The bathroom was huge with a deep marble(?) bath surrounded by glass walls overlooking a small private courtyard. The... more

We stayed for 2 weeks with our little baby boy at the resort.Beeing exhausted from work at home we felt this place is wonderful to relax. It takes about 30 min from Hurghada airport and the city. The city of Hurghada is not worth going-horrible touristy place. We had a "normal" suite without a pool. Two rooms, a huge walk-in... more

Okay, my husband and I totally loved the property, it was heaven. The room and the private pool was exceptional. The food and service was great. My one complaint is, it's all about tips. The staff have degrees in sucking in the tourists and most have a masters in it. Once you start to be friendly with the staff they... more

I did have an enjoyable time but felt there was still alot of room for improvement as i expect a hotel that markets itself they way they do to be exceptional. Rooms Beautiful, large, comfortable, quiet, fantastic! Lovely bathrooms also. Swimming Pool Only 1 but the hotel is not large enough for it to get overcrowded Restaurants 3 - an... more

We travelled to Hurghada from Sharm El Sheikh, where we stayed at the Four Seasons. We were expecting the Oberoi to be excellent and were looking forward to our stay. This hotel is a big disappointment and no comparison to other hotels in the same price bracket. Reception was overstaffed, inefficient and unfriendly. Service is slow and variable. Rooms are... more

This was the first stop for our honeymoon and I can tell you it was the best hotel experience of my life. I should mention that we did get VIP treatment since it was our honeymoon, so our experience might be somewhat different then others. We stayed in one of the beautiful beach front royal suites, and the rooms were... more

Having stayed in the Four Seasons in Sharm in September 2005 we decided to return to Egypt for a short break the following year and try a different hotel in Hurghada one that was a member of the Leading Hotels of the World this time. The first surprise when you arrive is how barren in is, the Four Seasons have... more

I stayed in the Oberoi for one week (end of Jan to beginning of Feb) and enjoyed it a lot. The nice buildings are widely spread over the well-kept area - everthing is beautifully arranged. The suites are aranged in arabian / egyptian style. The service staff is friendly and competent. For me the Oberoi Hurghada is a wunderful place... more

My husband and I just returned from a month long vacation and stayed at various hotels/resorts in Spain. Switzerland, and Egypt. Our final stop was the Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh, and really wished we could have stayed longer. Spent 5 nights here, and if we had to do it again, would have skipped the others. The hotel is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous. Very... more

Disappointing stay. Staff were very focused on getting tips. Food varibale quality. Management disinterested when there was serious complaint from another guest at the hotel. Spa disappointing. Pool great though. Would not recommend as overpriced and NOT the 5 star rating it claims to be. more
