I had a very pleasant experience while staying at this hotel last September. First of all I had a great room on the top floor on the corner. It was quiet and although I arrived late, they had saved my room. Internet worked fine and the staff at the front desk were very polite and accommodating particularly the young man... more

I am a college student, used to living in crap holes. but this place was so bad. not one of the ice machines in the whole place worked. the pool was drained, it looked like they started to fix it up but abruptly stopped. in our room the wallpaper was peeling and had water marks and mold. there was a... more

My Wife, our friend, and myself drove around the shady block of the Howard Johnson Hotel to find limited/scarce "Free Parking." After being told by another gentleman, most likely a guest, that we had to move our cars we finally made it to the check in counter. The front desk attendant asked for my last name twice after I had... more

The hotel is located between Tropicana and The Hilton casinos which are within walking distance. and a very short walk to the Boardwalk. The rooms are located beginning on the second floor. The hotel itself is an older hotel but the refurbishments made the stay mroe confortable. The swimming pool is under construction but the hotel has made arrangements with... more

Ignore the snobby reviews you see here; this place isn't nearly as bad as its made out to be. Yes, the pool is drained and unsightly, and the elevators are old and slow, but you can't beat the price for such a great location. The service was excellent, the staff was extremely friendly, and the room was exceptionally clean and... more

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune to visit. The room was dirty and smelled like mold. The hallway carpet was worn and dirty. The "pool" is empty of water, but full of trash. Stay away! more

This place was so bad, it was almost comical. My friend and I only booked one night (thank god) because if we were going to stay longer we definately would hvae gone someone else. I figured since it was $200/night it wouldn't be so bad. Well, I was WRONG WRONG WRONG. There was no shower head so the water just... more

I was looking for a place in Atlantic City at a decent price on a weekend in May. The only thing that met my expectations was the price. When I looked at the picture of the Howard Johnson's room on Interner, I thought it was not so bad. However, when we got into the room, we realized that the picture... more

This place is being knocked down and will become a new wing of the Holiday Inn hotel next door. Somehow it is still being used by guests until the renovations occur. My parents booked us this hotel online, the place looked clean, was close to the beach and the price was reasonable. It wasn't until we got there that we... more

Well, i have no clue where to start. We arrived at this hotel, mind you the clerk at the front desk was a really nice guy to begin with, the smell going up to our room was one of urine the hallways were filthy and there was an old couch at the end of our hallway that looked like it... more
