Stayed here for three nights. First time experience of the Shangri-la chain (but got a good deal when staying here, sydney and cairns) was not at all disappointed. Beautiful hotel, no complaints at all. Even loved the little touch of changing the carpet in the lifts each day! Got breakfast thrown in with the price, plenty of choice in the... more

This hotel was a bit of a disappointment. The entrance lobby is superb but that is where it finishes. The tower block rooms are small and not really suitable for two people. The garden wing rooms are much better and have balconies, but are looking tired and in need of refurbishing. The Line restaurant does not suite everyone’s taste being... more

Stayed for 5 nights in Jan 08 on our way to langkawi. Previously stayed in an executive tower wing room but decided to try the Valley Wing - Not dissapointed at all - The rooms are plush and decorated to the highest standard - the mini bar is quite an experience as is the room service. Champagne and shorts free... more

We arrived at the Shangri-la for a post 3 night stay after our Superstar Gemini cruise to give us something to look forward to. We had booked into the Horizon Club in the Tower Wing which gave us some extra luxuries like buffet breakfast, late checkout etc. When we checked in we were told they had upgraded us to the... more

Wow! The Valley wing is superb. Initally we were booked into a garden wing room which to be honest wasn't really want we wanted. Its a resort style room(laminate wood floor, very small bathroom, cheap furniture etc) thats surrounded by vegetation. I asked to be moved into the valley wing which they did straight away and for the extra £50... more

This was my first stay in Singapore and for a little luxury at the end of our honeymoon, we thought we'd upgrade to the Valley Wing. I agree with most of the previous reviewers that the rooms are spacious and luxurious, with the best of everything. The staff are wonderful - friendly and courteous, the food was some of the... more

This Shangri-La has the most extravagant breakfast menu I have encountered in any five star hotel. The variety and choice, from pastries to Thai and Japanese dishes, is absolutely bewildering. During my last visit, I counted eleven different sections serving specialist dishes.Even if you don't stay there, just go for the breakfast ! more

We Arrived at the Shangri La at the end of March for a two day stop over before flying onto Borneo for two weeks. This is a very good hotel with a lot of nice touches. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff dressed in traditional costumes and led into a cool (compared to outside), large marble lobby. The... more

Good quality hotel, clean, good service (typically Singaporean). Only complaint I would have is the lack of flexibility (the coffee bar closed at bang on 9pm, so don't try and get coffee after dinner there!). The outstanding feature was the buffet (breakfast, lunch and dinner), which was by far the best we have ever experienced - particularly the Indian section.... more
