This is a great hotel to stay at, if you plan to see all of Hong Kong and not just the Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. It is1/2 way to Lo Wu, the border with Shenzhen, China. I stay at this hotel often, as I'm working in Sheung Shui or Shenzhen. It's about a 20minute ride to the border, and... more

Despite its convenient location and reasonable price (USD $96 per night with a double bed), I was a little suspicious as to the quality of the hotel. But I was pleasantly surprised. First, transportation is on par with any 5-star hotels that are closer to some of the major shopping districts in Hong Kong - there is a direct bus... more

Amazing hotel in an amazing city! Sha Tin is a perfect location as it puts you away from the crowds and noise of city centre but at the same time you can be there in 10 minutes thanks to the KCR. Bus from the airport stops right in front of the door, and the hotel is connected with 4 shopping... more

I booked this hotel not realizing where Sha Tin was located but decided to try it anyway. Turned out to be a fantastic hotel, better than the Regent, Kowloon, Sheraton, Hyatt (no longer there) and New World. This hotel is rated as a 3 star, but deserves 5 stars. I suggest booking the Executive Room Package. The cost was USD... more

Thank goodness for trip advisor. First, we arrived at the HK airport. Following the advice of other travelers, we did a few things. First, we exchanged our money at the ATM and saved. Then, we took the A41 shuttle bus to the Royal Park ($20 HKDpp) and saved. It is true; A41 drops you directly in front of the hotel.... more

We booked with HolidaySupermarket and must say it is one the best hotels I have been in. It is better than the the intercont. on the Spanish steps in Rome as an example (IMO)...see pics. The bright spots is the location (from airport to hotel front door - A41) and to downtown HK via train. The cost of travel is... more

The hotel is linked to a shopping centre which has a train stop. Only 15mins to get into HK island. Room was large, comfy and great to relax in. Bathroom was modern and clean. No breakfast included but options in hte shopping centre. more

If you read the other reviews you know that it's a little out of the way from downtown Hong Kong. But this can be an asset, since it's quiet and away from the some of the craziness... and it's in a convenient location for eating and shopping. For some days we left the hotel in the morning, took the KCR... more

My family and I have just returned from a 10 day stay in HK......this hotel was great! Even better when we requested a switch to a bigger room with a microwave. Like most people have suggested, there are tons of cheap food outlets in the plaza that are attached. If raining, you won't even need an umbrella to get to... more

The reviews on tripadvisor.com for this hotel were very acurate. I had a lovely time in Shatin. The hotel room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was a very nice mix of Asian and European foods. The huge shopping mall was very clean and modern with great deals to be found.Pubic transportation was easy to access. The empolyees in... more
