I was one of the family that lollyjo wrote about July 7,2008. I couldn't agree more with what she said. Being on the Mara was such a wonderful experience, truly Magical! Our guides Doug, and Isaac and the spotters are the best in the business,we saw so much game and learned so much from our guides. Before we left everyone was... more

My wife and I just returned from staying at Cottar's 1920's after 3 weeks of being in Africa.. so we had many different experiences to compare it to... The facility is stylish, and the 1920's feel is very authentic... it sits in a beautiful spot upon a hillside far away from everything and just sitting outside your elegent tent having... more

I went to Cottars on my honeymoon and adored it. The service was great--canvas baths, lunch at the tent upon request, massages--simply fantastic. The game rides are simply incredible, with the guides being the best around. While I saw people struggling to watch animals through the closed windows of little white vans, I was in an open Land Rover that... more

Cottar's was fantastic! Staff was amazing... Disappointed at first that Calvin was not around but got over it. Loved the tent (family tent #6), loved Isaac (guide). We travelled with our children (10,12) and had a fantastic time. We were completely catered to! more

We left Governors Il Moran feeling depressed because we thought that there was no way that Cottar's Camp, or any other camp for that matter, could live up to the standard set during our stay at Governors Il Moran. Suprisingly Cottar's Camp set the bar even higher! Disclaimer: We visited during the 'School Holiday' in Kenya and thus Calvin and... more

The food was horrible -- very oily/fatty and on many ocassions grossly overcooked. They advertised great linens and cutlery/crockery and that was not true at all. Had to take cold water showers many times. My wife had 2nd degree sunburn and they did not offer any help in terms of aloe or medication since we had complained about the food.... more
