We booked this trip with Thomson and we had 2 rooms on the fourth floor one facing the front and one facing the back. Both rooms were of the same tired standard and we struggled to sleep. The noise of wedding party's from the nearby Luxor hotel did not cease until after midnight and could be heard in the garden... more

The Mercure is not the best hotel in Luxor, but it's in a great location, the only downfall is its the only hotel that taxi and carreche drivers are allowed to park outside of, so you do get loads of hassle. I went to Egypt for a cheap last-minute week away and had a great time. The Mercure Inn is really central and within walking distance of the souk, the Nile and the Luxor temple. The hotel is set in its own gardens so it's still very peaceful. Staff are friendly and helpful, I felt very comfortable as a lone female.... more
it was out of this world our room was brill 207 we stayed in and the people were great always smiling and wanting to help food was good service good bedding and towels changed everyday i did not want to come home and now im home cannot wait to book up again but taking my son with us next time... more
