We booked this trip with Thomson and we had 2 rooms on the fourth floor one facing the front and one facing the back. Both rooms were of the same tired standard and we struggled to sleep. I went to Egypt for a cheap last-minute week away and had a great time. The Mercure Inn is really central and within walking distance of the souk, the Nile and the Luxor temple.
