I booked this hotel as a 5 stars Hotel and as such I expected a reasonably high standard. While it appears to have a 5 star rating I would not give it one star. It was disgustingly dirty, old and no destruction at all. Except the rooms, nothing is good starting from the location, the reception and the people. May... more

We stayed at the Amarante Pyramids for two nights. This was booked by our travel tour Company Noga Tours as part of a week stay in Egypt. Well were do I begin??? Geesh it was about a 45 minute drive from the airport. When you get to the area..you will look around VERY concerned because it looks like a dump... more

Hotel was close to Giza and the Pyramids...but far away from the action of Cairo (i.e. Musuem, Coptic Cairo, Downtown, Khan-el Khalili, Citadel, etc.) Hotel is in terrible neighborhood, nothing exciting nearby....a few rip-off curio shops Service at hotel is NON-EXISTENT.....carpets are filthy....food horrible and expensive. Check in very, very slow! Staff unfriendly. If you on a low budget then... more

The toilet wasn't working and we had to wait till the next day 9 am to be fixed. The breakfast restaurant was nice but again the floor and carpet... more

Stayed 1 night because it was all I could stomach, and would have gotten out before that even, except we got in at 1 a.m. and the agent had already left before I discovered the horrors, so by the time I figured out an escape plan, it was already daybreak. The room was absolutely filthy--dirty carpet, dirty bed linen, dirty... more

I booked this hotel after reading OK reviews about the place, compared with other hotels of similar price in Cairo. It used to be a Sheraton, but it seems the hotel has gone downhill since it was taken over. The hotel looks great on the surface, and the pool area (which we only used for a couple of hours) was... more

Really nice place, unlike one of the typical buildings. Its laid out really well with an amazing pool. The food however is pretty average... Overall i'd stay there the next time i'm in Cairo more
