We didn´t like the Canadian Hostel because we felt the staff was always looking for tips and book expensive tours and taxis. Everything booked out of the hostel was cheaper. The room is horrible with a terrible bed and the shower had not much hot water. We don´t recommend this hostel. more

Having stayed at this hostel for a good 5 nights I feel worthy to give an accurate review. LOCATION: The location is great but as there are many other hostels and cheap hotels located along talaat harb, its not such a big plus factor.Some of the rooms are very noisy so ask for a room in a quieter location. For a budget stay in downtown Cairo I cannot think of a better place to stay. Staff were VERY friendly and accomodating and it was central to many attractions (minutes walk to the Egyptian Museum). All that and the price can't be beat. Definitely not the Ramses Hilton but clean and friendly. more
