We stayed at the Colombo City earlier this year. The rooms are really spacious, the bathroom was clean, there was cable TV, it's really central (opposite the Hilton) - and only US$38 for a twin. New and modern hotel in the heart of the business district of Colombo Fort, located opposite the World Trade Centre.
