This is a comfortable and classy hotel that provides a great place to stay for business or pleasure in Bangkok. The beds are phenominally comfortable (provided you are ok with the firm Thai beds) with quality pillows and a cozy duvet. The friendly English-speaking staff is always willing to assist. The breakfast buffet allows for a bit of variety. Unlike... more

If you look at the Tawana Ramada while riding in a Tuk-Tuk or taxi, you may quickly dismiss it as plain, but if you look closer and actually stay there, it actually has a very nice elegant charm to it. I stayed there recently after a horrible night at the Montien hotel next door (which I will write in detail... more

Perhaps I am not sufficiently critical, but I always seem to find myself writing favorable reviews of hotels that have received a fair number of negative ones. In any event, I just came back from a five-day stay at this hotel (which was hosting a meeting my wife was attending) and although I was concerned about having to stay at... more

We stayed in hotel TAWANA at the end of January 2008 for 5 nights. This hotel is definitly not a 4* hotel! Maybe it had 4* , but 20 years ago, since when it looks they didn't make any updates; the room we stayed in was on the second floor with a view on the back of a parking block;... more

My Girlfriend and I, stayed for 3 days in april. The hotel area is very clean and pretty, and the restaurants looked to be a good standard. The pool area is very small but its okay, for a little swim. The room is quit old and could need a refreshment, but everything worked and its was okay for a couple... more

I needed to spend 16 hours in BKK and having stayed at The Pan Pacific, the Oriental, the Intercontinental and Dusit Thani was looking for a hotel with a central location but at a low price. The Tawana is 2 minutes walk from Pat Pong market and it is obvious they are accustomed to guests bringing "friends" back to the... more

Stayed for two nights at the Tawana over new year 06/7. Good location for access to Patpong market and Skytrain but very seedy area by day. Room was clean and pleasant - very quiet. staff were very helpful and friendly - some of the best I have found in Bangkok. Breakfast was a bit disappointing - geared more to the... more

Stay at this hotel last september. Good location in Bangkok, very convenient for the night areas of Patpong and Lumpini. Five minutes walking for the Sky Train. Lots of restaurants arround. The hotel itself is OK. Great lobby and common areas. The rooms, only average. Big and comfortable beds, but toilet needs a refurbishment. All very clean, but note that... more
