I can't say enough wonderful things about Jakub and Jan. They truly made our stay in Prague memorable. We stayed in the small room on the first floor (they called it the honeymoon room). It was quiet and cosy. The breakfasts are lovingly prepared by Jan who goes out of his way to make sure everything is to your liking.... more

This was my first time in Prague, and I was responsible for making arrangements for my younger sister (18) and my grandma and her sister (in their sixties). I researched Prague accommodations extensively and finally chose Dum U Velke Boty. I am so happy I made this decision. The house is wonderful. I won't describe it in great detail because... more

We stayed for nine days in Prague at the House at the Big Boot and it was wonderful! The house is so charming and right across form the German Embassy and near the U.S. Embassy; we felt very safe. Jacob and Tom and Simone were wonderful hosts; Jacob even helped us rent a car for our excursions into the smaller... more

After reading other great reviews of this B&B on Trip Advisor, we booked direct through their website and had a lovely 4 nights there last week. From the first "welcome" to the morning of our departure, the hospitality was excellent. Simone, Tomas and family looked after us so very well. Highlights: free high speed internet access on computer on lower... more

It was such a delight to stay in this lovely boutique guest house run by Jacub and Jan and their families. They are very charming and most capable. They are willing and able to help you out with all sorts of travel issues, including great dinner recommendations (both in Prague and in other Czech towns), places for a hair cut... more

My daughter had stayed here over the summer, and insisted that my wife and I go to Prague, which she loved, and only stay at The House of the Big Boot. We usually stay in large luxury hotels, so we were a little hesitant. For example, after leaving Prague, we stayed at the Le Meridian Hotel in both Vienna and... more

This holiday was given to me by my children as a big O present, so we did not really know what to expect; however I found the web site very easy to use with some lovely photos of the rooms which I downloaded and found to be 100% accurate. On arrival we were treated like honoured guests and given loads... more

Fantastic! Arrived late Easter Sunday afternoon and were encouraged to immediately feel like members of the family. Room was spacious and exceptionally comfortable. Location is perfect in an atmospheric part of town, half way up the hill between Old Town and the Castle. Under 10 minute walk each direction to key sites. Fresh, tasty breakfast. Jan and Jacub were eager... more

The words friendly, charming, and wonderful do not even begin to describe the simple brilliance of this place. It is our favorite place to stay in all of Europe. Jan and his family are amazing hosts and they do whatever they can to help you. Breakfasts are delicious and the rooms are nice. It's in a perfect location-about a 5-10... more

We read about Dum u velké boty in Rick Steeves and then again in the New York Times. We wanted to please the couple travelling with us who are more used to luxurious hotels. We wanted a small hotel. We all agreed this was the perfect place to stay. Jan and his son, Jacob, are better than any concierge service... more
