*** Wedding Stay - Disaster *** We recently stayed at the Burswood in a river suite for the four days which was $1000 per night. We were very excited and decided to stay in the suite as we were getting married on the Friday 03.10.08. I arrived with my bridesmaids Thursday 02.10.08 that stayed with me and also had another... more

The first time I ever stayed in this hotel was in 1998, since then I have been back a few times. The most recent stay preceding this one was 2003 and since then there has been some changes. The facility has undergone, and is going through constant changes and upgrades however this is all academic when it comes to the... more

Very over-rated hotel for what it's supposed to be. We paid over $1000 for 3 nights stay. The room we were given was just above the floor where renovations were being carried out. There were constant noises and hummings, etc. The room was nothing to be excited about - old and dated, and when I had a bubble bath all... more

It was well below standard for an Intercontinental. When booking we requested a king bed non smoking room but were told we had a twin bed smoking room when we checked in. We were told that there were no other rooms available. As we are both non smokers and asthmatic we decided that we would rather stay elsewhere as we... more

The complex has everything, it makes it so much nicer just to be able to go downstairs and go to the club, or spice lounge and have a drink or have a flutter. The hotel itself is becoming slightly outdated for a 5 star, however renovations are currently happening. The tables at the casino as so full, it is crazy.... more

We stayed in the Burswood for three nights following a flight from Dubai. First impressions were good; the atrium lobby area is vast and quite impressive with 'sails' suspended across the ceiling (at night these are lit by everchanging coloured lights). Check in was quick and easy and we were soon in our floor 9 Club Room. The room was... more

We stayed for two days in April due to it's proximity to the Casino (Same complex). It is however some distance away from the city and the beaches so if you need a base for an extended stay, maybe something in the city would be better. We had no problems with our stay, valet parking was effortless, the concierge's were... more

We stayed at the Burswood for Valentines Day. We utilised the valet parking and the car was unpacked and our cases delivered to the room quickly and efficiently. Check in was quick and easy. The room was lovely although some evidence of age, but very clean and cool air-con. A minor problem when we emptied the bath and the floor... more

We booked two hours prior to check in. We paid $385 mid week for level 9 for one night - we were not told until we arrived that there were renovations taking place until 9pm on the floor below us - think saws grinding through cement and then being woken at 7am by hammers. The room was very dated, the... more

This hotel is great. A club spa room on the 8th floor provided great views over the river and city. Being young, it is a great place to spend a weekend. With a theatre, stadium, bars, club, casino and a range of restaraunts we barely needed to leave the complex. The room was clean, the view was great and there... more
