I stayed recently at this hotel. The hotel foyer looks modern. The front desk person Jason was very pleasant and helpful. We ended up staying at room 1408. This room was a premiere room and had a spa. The overall look of the room was nice. Modern amenties, and furnishings. The balcony was not quite a balcony. It was so... more

we spent 2 nights here and wish it was more. Great location, super views, quiet, and staff were excellent. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which was starting to get a bit tired decor wise, but it was well appointed. We went to the top floor for a swim and sauna, this def needs some attention..pretty dated and just lacking... more

I went to Sydney for a work and requested an apartment with some space and a desk and preferably, wirless internet I arrived to the Somerset (after missing it twice) and parked down Druit Lane where the sign said 'Guest Parking'. It was shut. I rang the reception and they told me there that the car park was full and... more

I stayed here 5 nights in July, 2007 and would highly recommend the Somerset. The desk service was quite helpful - not sure what others are writing about. I stayed in a premium queen which was MUCH nicer than the deluxe room (which a friend was staying in.). Do ask for high speed internet, which is not available in all... more

We were coming to Sydney for a vital professional exam, so needed a quiet, clean room I could sleep and study in, with responsive staff in case of any problems. I am glad to say we got it at the Somerset. As it was low season, we got a good rate on a corner room with a view from the... more

We had booked through wotif a month in advance and we specified we wanted a room for 3 with a balcony and possibly the best room we can get. When we arrived we were told a room for 3 wasnt booked for us and we had to wait to be moved to another room and then to wait till 9pm... more

We stayed at the Somerset for 3 nights in May in 1 bedroom spa suite. Hoever when we checked in we were told the spa suite wasnt available, whihc the staff kindly deducted off our room rate. This didnt bother us so much as we had only requested it, and hadnt paid for it. On reagrds to value for money,... more

My husband & I stayed in a Spa suite for 5 nights for my birthday holiday. We found the suite to be very comfortable all round, & Staff to be nice & friendly. Only complaint, would probably be shouldn't advertise the Balcony, I wouldn't really call standing room only a balcony) maybe a Balconette ?? No views, only looking into... more

Our stay was a disaster from start to finish. On arrival we were qouted a room rate $20 above the rate which we had confirmed on the Net. We had the rate in writing, quoting it NIGHTLY in capital letters, but the receptionist would not accept this. A supervisor finally sorted it for us. There was a huge party in... more
