We stayed here before flying out to Tasmania. This is a very central hotel, with amazing views over the botanic gardens. Very upmarket style, disappointed we couldn't stay another night. Staff were lovely & helpful. Entertainment e.g. was aldy jazz/blues singer, or a piano player, super to listen to in the background whilst having a drink, so relaxing. The original... more

We stayed here for 3 nights in March. We arrived early in the morning after a flight from Singapore and were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in. Our room was on the 17th floor with a great view of the harbour bridge, we had booked this and paid extra for the view. Apart from the view the room... more

Very nice hotel with beautifully decorated rooms. Location is great--right near Circular Quay and the Rocks area. Food was very over-priced--recommend going elsewhere to eat. We stayed during a busy weekend and the hotel refused to honor my Platinum rewards card. There are a few shops in the hotel, including a Bose store. The shops themselves were very reasonably priced... more

Yes, this is probably more of a business hotel, but you cannot beat the location! Book a room with a view (we were in 1826), because when you marry the view with the location, the beds, and the bathroom, this is an incredible hotel. We found check-in/check-out to be very easy and the staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Evening turn-down... more

My husband and I stayed here for business and booked a a leisure package which included breakfast and valet parking as well as a 5 pm checkout which for a hotel of this calibre was good value. The problem with booking a package deal however always seems to be that the hotel will charge you for something that was supposed... more

It is a lovely hotel in one of the top hotel locations worldwide. Wonderful staff, nice ambiance. Loved the bed and linen. The club lounge is definately one of the best I have been in...if not THE best. The magic botanical gardens are outside the door, as is the Opera House. While an InterCon, it has a boutique feel. The... more

Stayed here for business for one night and would recommend it. PROS Good location - short stroll to Circular Quay Clean modern furnishings Spacious rooms CONS Slow valet Bathrooms not as well kept as rooms No balcony I would not hesitate to stay here again however to take advantage of the views would try one of the hotels directly in... more

Stayed in the Intercontinental during a business trip for more than a week. Typical business hotel with very litlle offering for family travel or similar. Best feature is definitely the location, right next to the beautiful botanical garden and close to the ferry pier. The check in was smooth and efficient and amazingly my room was ready although it was... more

Stopped off in Sydney for 7 nights after 4 weeks in New Zealand. Researched several hotels but kept coming back to the Intercontinental. Booked a Club Watson's Bay view room and we were not disappointed in any way. 9pm check in smooth and effortless. Room spacious, quiet and comfortable. Breakfasts on top floor Club lounge offered a good selection to... more

A belated Valentines Day celebration and a chance to experience one of the few 5 star hotels we had not stayed at in Sydney. Arrival and check-in somewhat chaotic compounded by the lack of staff and amount of people waiting to be attended to. However once attended to the assistance by the staff was good and the best part of... more
