I was influenced by the comments made on this site and booked this hotel - two two-bedroom apartments for a weekend. It was my daughter's 21st and I had arranged for family to stay. I had requested a sofa bed in both apartments. No linen had been supplied on either nights. I asked for a refund and the reception refused... more

Family of three (2 x adults, 1 12 y.o.) stayed here for a week early July. Booked direct with the hotel - it was less expensive that way. Found the Hotel after research primarily on Trip Advisor. Booked a two bedroom suite one bathroom suite. Arrived late at night to be greeted by friendly staff and discovered upon entering the... more

Read some quite good reviews of this hotel, which is why I booked it. Wrong. OK, first the good: it was handy to the CBD (brisk 5-min walk) , the rooms were spacious. That was about it. No - there was one comfortable armchair. The check-in staff (a couple of 18yo olds behind the counter) certainly hadn't majored in service... more

The rooms are a good size but the bedding as metioned by others is not of the highest quality. We had a first level room facing Mort Street. A little noisy so would suggest a higher room would be better. Two major problems with this property are the shower over the bath, water tends to go everywhere, and the very... more

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment that we booked through wotif.com and were gobsmacked when we walked in. Lovely and spacious, nice and clean, a nice covered balcony to sit on. It was nice and close to the heart of town, but this had its downside. We were woken up a few times during the night by yobbos walking... more

This was my second stay here. The rooms are certainly big, quiet, modern, well appointed. Location is good if you are doing things in civic because you can walk there rather than relying on Canberra's awful taxi service. The room would be much better if they didn't use cheap polyester sheets and bedding. I had trouble sleeping because they felt... more

Great facilities. The 2-bedroom suite we stayed in had 2 bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen (with full-sized fridge), washing machine and dryer (purchase laundry soap from reception for $1). Outdoor table setting on the balcony as well so we could enjoy the view of the carpark :-) Very quiet since we didn't stay on the main road side. Very clean and modern... more

Essentially a nice apartment hotel. However, when you get past superficial appearances and encounter the largely unhelpful reception staff, the hotel becomes nothing more than average. The thing is when a hotel is declaring itself as a four half star hotel and you are paying $170 a night it really should be better. Yes, the rooms look nice at first... more

We, a family of 3, recently spent 4 nights at the Clifton Suites, and mostly it was a good experience. The suite its self was roomy and bright, with a modern kitchen. The beds were comfy (a king in our room and a queen in our daughters). A couple of problems we encountered were, one, our daughters room, which was... more

Stayed here for a conference. Had a room overlooking a side street so no problems with the traffic on Northbourne. Stayed over Australian winter and had no problem with the lack of centralised heating in the bedrooms. We simply asked for extra blankets. Requests for extra pillows, sheets etc. were promptly actioned by housekeeping. Only real disappointment was the bathrooms.... more
