This really is a remarkable find. We stayed here for one night in June 2008 and could happily have stayed much longer. We decided to drive from Rome to Florence, staying a night in Tuscany along the way. Our goal was to stay in a village which still had quite a traditional feel about it, at least one Michelin star... more

What a great hotel!!! The rooms are huge, compared to most in Europe, very clean, great appointments, with sensational views. The staff was more than accomodating & truly seemed to care. The breakfasts were good and even had coffee as early as 6:15. The spa area was fantastic and relaxing but should not be confused with a workout area. The hotel... more

Lovely hotel. Room was great, pretty view. The bath was totally modern---beautiful! We loved the spa. There's no way I can tell you how contemporary and beautiful it is. Parking was easy once you got your bearings. You can pull up to the hotel upon arrival. We weren't sure, so we parked and walked in -- about a block. They... more

We have stayed at Palazzo Squarcialupi for 2 weeks in Sept for the last 5 years. From our first arrival in 2003, we have found the staff to be more than helpful and accommodating. They all will go out of their way to make your stay a memorable Tuscan experience. The rooms overlooking the valley are large and bright and... more

We have stayed at the Hotel Squarcialupi for several days at a time for each of the last eight years. The hotel accommodations have always been lovely, especially those overlooking the fields at the rear of the hotel away from the street. The breakfast buffet is always nice - better than most hotels in Italy. The new spa facilities are... more

We were recommended the hotel by a local shuttle and wine tour operater, Giorgio Fronimos. After telling him we were disappointed in the hotel we were already staying at, he helped arrange a room for us at Palazzo Squarcialupi. We had a view of the Tuscan hills and wineries. The room was very large and bright. The place was very... more

We almost left Chianti after a terrible night at another hotel, but were told by the locals to move to Palazzo Squarcialupi. They were very accommodating and pleasant and whisked us to a beautiful room. It was spacious and clean. The bathroom was large. My only complaint is that the King bed is actually two twin beds pushed together. However,... more

My wife and I stayed at the Palazzo Squarcialupi a couple of nights in August on my sister's recommendation. We weren't disappointed. The hotel was in a pefect location within Castellina, and our room was overlooking the beautiful main street (the alternative views over the Tuscan hillside would have been equally desirable). We had rented a car, and so were... more

We have now been staying in the Squarcialupi for four years in a row and it is in our opinion without a doubt our favourite place in the World. It is normally only around half way through the first day of our holiday that we are standing at the front desk booking for the following year. The Hotel itself is... more
