Having just stayed at the luxurious Macdonald Leeming House Hotel in the Lake District, I was expecting more from this hotel but I was probably expecting too much. This is a fairly ordinary English business hotel located conveniently for the M6. It is nothing special. The food in the restaurant is OK and there is a fairly ordinary bar. Rooms... more

Overpriced rooms...marks on the walls and hair round the plughole in the bath.. Breakast cost £15 so we didn't bother..there were 7 of us and none of has a good nights sleep..hard beds and staff hoovering at 8am. Couldn't open the windows at the back more than 6 inches because of the bars over them hence a very hot room.... more

When you book a three star hotel you expect the standard to be average, right? But you do expect the staff to be courteous and a good level of cleanliness. I was wrong on both counts. When I checked in the lady behind reception ignored me while she chatted to her colleague about “what a great night she had last... more

Upon arrival, the hotel is not in the most celubrious surroundings. The hotel reception, restaurant and bar are in one building and the rooms are in another. A very polite check in was followed by a trek across the car park to find my room. The room was very small and deorated with flowery decor, including curtains and bedspread. The... more

The hotel is located in Warrington Cheshire and is a 63 bedroomed property. The staff at reception welcomed us gladly and was very friendly, the room was warm and homely and guests were also very friendly. The only gripe we had was that everytime we purchased 2 drinks it cost us 12.00 pounds or more, we believe that the cost... more

I frequently have to visit Warrington, and the only bright spot of the trip is a night at the Lymm. As well as being excellent value for money, the staff are friendly and the breakfasts amongst the best I have eaten in an English hotel. The evening food is reasonable, but I usually take a stroll down to one ofthe... more

After an awful stay at Ramada parkway leeds the night before, this hotel cheered us up. While the place needs a bit of a refurb, the attitude of the staff and the great breakfast cheered us up. We phoned ahead to say we'd be late arriving, and the young lady on reception was very helpful and volunteered to make sure... more

My partner and I stayed two nights at the Lymm Hotel Easter 2007 to use up some of out Macdonald Hotel Loyalty Rewards. From the moment we arrived to the second we left the staff were attentive, professional and friendly. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and the buffet breakfast would leave no-one hungry. The majority of rooms are in... more

I stayed for one night on business and I shall not be returning. The non smoking room was very very smoky. The bathroom was poor - the towel rail fittings were broken and the sink was cracked. The common parts were shoddy and the corridor smell was more akin to a stale pub. If you book make sure that the... more
