After reading some of the reviews of the hotel we were a little worried about what we would find when we checked in. We need not have worried though. The reception staff were very efficient and had all our check-in details to hand when we checked in. Our room (number 17) was on the ground floor and was newly refurbished.... more

I am astonished with the bad reviews for this hotel. We got married at this hotel in 2004, and we can honestly say that we got treated really well. The honeymoon suite was lovely, and the staff could not be more helpful. We have been back several times, for dinners, lunches and Christmas dinners. The food has always been very... more

There's lots that good about this hotel - rooms are pleasant and comfortable with nice beds. By and large the staff are very friendly. But several things they advertise were not available - no wi-fi access, no cable/satellite TV, no pay per view movies. I don't understand why hotels can't have freeview, otherwise you only have 4 channels there, and... more

I booked directly with the hotel and immediately i felt very welcome. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome, greeted by smiling staff. Assisted with luggage to excellent room. The rooms were extremely comfortable (they were going thru some sort of refurbishment and we got a refurbished room!!) Big bed too!! didnt eat dinner in the hotel, but... more

My husband's sister chose this venue to get married - the Tithe barn attached to the hotel is beautiful and the food was pretty good. Fortunately the majority of our stay was spent in the barn. Our experience of the actual hotel was much less positive. On arriving at the hotel we discovered that our room was being redecorated, so... more

We had a family Reunion here to include cousins from South Africa and cousins I had never met and the staff of the Barns couldn't have been more helpful. We had a lunch overlooking the river for 10 people. The table was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and the food was very good. We spent the afternoon catching up with... more

We stayed at this hotel as a birthday treat for me. I'd stayed there many years ago and it had been great - how things change! There were two weddings on at the time, each of them a poor imitation of Jordan & Peter Andre. Our room was next to the main function room and we were kept awake until... more

Stayed with our 2 small children and 2 other families & found hotel the perfect stay. Kids fed the ducks their leftover breakfast by the pretty river. Breakfast was included in price, very apertising & waitress child-friendly. A trip to the local pool was included in price. Room was good size, although kids had a matress on the floor as... more

On the recommendation of sites such as Trip Advisor, I booked at the Corus for a one night stopover for my family. The hotel has a lovely situation but all three of our rooms in various places in the hotel were absolutely freezing. I heard several other guests complaining of this. The front desk advised that the heating was on... more

If you have to visit Bedford then this establishment is sufficiently far away not to really count as a Bedford Hotel. The reception was welcoming, even at the ridiculous hour of my arrival....and the room was clean and comfortable. The food and the restaurant were most acceptable...I found myself drawn in there by the excellent smell of food and I... more
