Danhostel Copenhagen City suited us just fine. As a family of four we had a room with 2 beds and a bunk bed - with our own bathroom with shower. The room was clean and beds comfortable for sleeping. The room only had a couple of small stool chairs to sit on and there was no hanging/cupboard space apart from... more

Our family of five spent 4 nights here at the end of May. We had a rooom with 3 sets of bunk beds and en-suite bathroom. The Danhostel suited our need to be centrally-located and reasonably priced. The hostel seemed to be a mix of school groups, backpackers, and Scandinavian families. Although it was crowded and loud during the day,... more

Like others have said this hostel is clean, very central, safe, etc. but not big on cosy atmosphere associated with many other hostels. The pictured common room is very much incorporated into the reception area and as such is noisy and subject to draughts form the entrance doors. If travelling in smaller groups of 1, 2 or 3 you will... more

I stayed in a room for 4 with my friends on the 11th floor, with a great view over the city. It was my first time staying at a hostel and I was a bit nervous beforehand, but was pleasantly surprised. Was there in 2005 so it had recently been open, and everything was super-clean and in great shape. I... more

Perfectly fine for travellers who are familiar with hostelling. Clean room, convenient breakfast buffet, great location, helpful staff. I agree with the review that it is not a "place to meet travellers". It is essentially a "big hotel" with hundreds of rooms. It is by far the largest hostel in Denmark, however. The other hostels, such as Roskilde and Fredensborg... more

I stayed there for three nights. First of all, it's easy to find as it towers over the channel along the city centre (I had lost the map and the address and it was a great help). Secondly, it's got a common room on the groundfloor equipped with Wi-Fi. Thirdly, it's clean and inexpensive. On the other hand, while it... more

It was our first time staying in an HI hostel and it was well worth it. Located about a 10 minute walk from the main train station, it is well situated and easily accessible. There were 2 grocery stores located on the other side of the river (about a 10-15 minute walk), as well as lots of restaurants in the... more

This is an fine place to stay if you are looking for something cheap in Copenhagen. It has a central location, 15 minutes walk from the pedestrian street. The rooms are fine. Though the place seems quite torn down for being built only a few years ago. The breakfast though is quite poor. I was quite pleased with it for... more

I stayed here for one night as part of a group of 20. We were all given rooms of 6 with a double bed and 2 bunks. The room was spacious and clean (although there was a stain on my bed sheet). There was an ensuite bathroom, with a very good shower. The location was excellent, being very close to... more

Ok....if you stay in hostels when travelling for the social aspect - meeting people - in an interesting neighbourhood - exchanging tips on good bars etc.....do NOT stay here. There is nothing hostel about it except the crap hostel bit of having to take down your own sheets and empty the bin!! This is a soulless place. Fine....if you want... more
