After booking a nights stay at Hotel Fox through their website and receiving confirmation, my husband + I arrived to check-in (on our wedding anniversary) and were told we were going to be moved to a sister hotel as they had overbooked! The girl behind the counter was very rude, dismissive and flippant remarking that this was quite normal business... more

If only I'd heeded some of the reviews on this site! The negative things I've read all appear to be true, down to the less-than-attentive service and the fact that a lot of the hotel looks a bit run down, shabby or even dirty (our bedroom carpet was disgusting). And what's wrong with bringing an ironing board up a flight... more

great lobby, great breakfast, in the lobby. hotel rooms must have been great when new, and still pretty nice. but hotel in general a little run down, plus not 100% consistent in terms of interior design, and that was supposed to be their speciality. all in all a good and out of the ordinary hotel. more

I stayed with 2 other business colleagues and the hotel was one of the worst places where I have stayed: a) Dirty (carpet, furniture, stained comforter) b) old (the stairs between the 2 buildings have plaster literally following from the ceiling) c) tiny rooms and bathrooms d) crappy design (more like highschool graffities trying to pass as sofisticated art) e)... more

Don’t be fooled by the “design tag”. A wall painted in what some may consider “artistic” doesn’t work for a truly designed, boutique kind of place. I have booked a medium size room, but I got an upgrade. Imagine my surprise, when, door opened I faced the smallest room I have been ever in. I got downstairs to double-check. Yes,... more

We were booked here for 2 nights, but bailed after one. The first room we checked into was so dingy and smelled like smoke. I called the front desk to ask for another room, that didn't smell like smoke, and while they weren't exactly rude....they certainly didn't apologize or seem to care about the inconvenience. The halls have cigarette burns... more

I highly recommend this urban, boutique hotel. Friendly staff that meets your every need if you ask politely. Terrific views, a great place to lay in bed and stare out the window. Only complaint is heating/cooling systems are a little noisy. more

I stayed for a couple of nights in a single room which was actually a decent size considering the normal Copenhagen example. The place was also incredibly clean and pretty good value for such a central hotel. I liked the idea of each room being designed by a different artist, but the hotel doesn't really pull it off. I'd be... more

I was recommended this by a Danish business partner as being a cool hotel. The website looks fantastic, with all the rooms by different designers, but fails to mention that the owners have not spent a cent on the place since. My Japanese Room 'Wa' would have been nice if the carpet hadn't been heavily stained with some mysterious white... more

This hotel is a good place to stay for those who want something funky and original that is well located for the city. But don't expect an elegant, upscale boutique hotel. As advertised, each room is done by a different designer. The designs range from fun to a little disturbing, but they are always striking and entirely original. The rooms... more
