The Mercure Hotel Copenhagen offers a great location and clean rooms for an average price in a city full of expensive hotels. At the time of our stay in mid August 2008, they were experiencing a major theft problem. We parked our car directly in front of the hotel, literally 20 feet from the main entrance and overnight, our car... more

We recently stayed here. The first room we were shown was so moldy we asked for another room. We also asked if they had a larger room. They did--it was on the back of the hotel on the tennis courts. It cost $40 US more per night, but was much larger and had no mold. There is no air conditioning... more

the worse hotel I have been in my life, I do not have words to descrive it: Small and dirty room, the curtains were brown, and the carpet flood of spots, just like the indescriptible bathroom, the bathtub had marks of dirt at several levels and the curtain a rare scent.the room cleaned a day but other no, as we... more

My partner and I stayed at the Mercure Copenhagen July 22-26, 2006. We did request a nonsmoking room, and it seems that we were assigned one, room 412, on the front side of the hotel. As other folks have said, it gets warm in the summer and the hotel has no air conditioning. The window and curtain must be opened... more

Our room, while small, was updated and very clean. We had a room facing the rear which was very, very quiet. This was extremely helpful as the lack of air conditioning made it mandatory to keep the window open. We were able to procure a fan at the front desk which made our nights comfortable. The breakfast was very uninspired... more

Despite a good location , clean linen and a good breakfast I would not use this hotel again. The room had no airconditioning meaning the window needed to be open with temperatures a sticky 25c . Outside the window a red neon sign , railway track , dual carriageway and as the window opened inward the curtains could not be... more

The Mercure has a good location and the communal areas and the breakfast room are clean, bright and airy. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and all spoke excellent English. The room was a big disappointment, however. The decor was tired and old; the brown carpet was dirty (brown is not a great colour!) and bleach-stained and the... more
