Palace in Copenhagen got a very nice location at Raadhuspladsen. Its old, very old and was ongoing renovation. Our room was a newly renovated room and was very nice with good equipment. I don't think the room never would be five star standard room but a good four star quality hotelroom. Nothing to complain about. The room was very clean,... more

We are fully aware that it is a challenge for our guests as well, as renovating an old building from top to bottom, installing air condition, internet access etc. in order to bring the hotel up to the 5 star standard can not be done without any noise and disturbance. The total renovation is scheduled to be completed by the...

I stayed for one night. Got a very good rate. As has been said before, the renovated rooms are nice but they are tiny. Do not stay in the small rooms, if you are more than one. I kept bumping my leg against the bed because the desk chair was so close to it. They have squeezed in every amenity... more

This hotel should be really closed down for a couple of months until the work is completed. It's currently a grand old lady in a sorry state. First the good: Renovated rooms are very nice; materials and amenities are well chosen and although there are some ergonomic "challenges" this is mainly due to the tiny size of the rooms (no... more

I got a good deal on this hotel through Priceline, but then I realized it was undergoing renovations and didn't have any air conditioning. It turned out to still be a great deal for a room in downtown Copenhagen, but there were some minor things that could have been improved upon. For one, internet access is available, but costly. Because... more

I just checked into this hotel today. I've booked one of the renovated rooms based on the previous posts. The lobby seems to be completed as there's no work around, but I don't see any new appearance on it yet. As you enter the the lobby, you get a bad feeling out of it. Rooms: I got one of the... more

Stayed at the Palace two nights. Also stayed there exactly a year ago. Comments have not changed! Lovely renovated room. Whoever is designing the bathrooms is not into ergonomics! After shaving, brushing teeth or whatever one bangs one's head against the mirror. The sink is very small, beautiful, but NOT ergonomic. The frosted glass partition between the room and the... more

I agree with other reviews saying it's unfair to badly note this hotel. Obviously the public areas still look terrible, but that's normal for a hotel under renovation. My room was really cosy and well equiped (Flat TV, Free Internet, Nice bathroom with Philippe Stark shower and bathtub). All in all it's a good alternative for downtown Copenhagen, especially for... more

I had followed the construction progress and reviews for many months and finally know first hand about the property. Our room was newly completed and clean. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. We missed the early June opening of the new reception area by days, but it looked to be modern and clean in design. Their dinner suggestions were... more

My mom and I stayed here for four nights from April 28-May 2. At first, I was put off my the lobby, which was under extensive construction, but the front desk staff and concierge more than made up for the inconveniences. We were there to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday and the staff went the extra mile to make sure... more

Slightly unfair to write a review as the Palace is currently undergoing a full restoration, however THIS acknowledged I was still driven to review this. This impressive, multi-floor brownstone simply EXUDES faded glory and participation in history upon arrival. Despite ground-floor refurbishment work, the former glory of the foyer can be clearly seen. Staff VERy friendly and helpful. One downside... more
