This hotel is located in the port area of Pireaus and the location suited me perfectly. The street it was situated in was a little dubious however it wasn't totally unsafe! Clean, comfortable, quiet, air conditioned, good breakfast, 72 euro. Within walking distance of port gates 9 & 10. Only bad experience was not with the hotel but the taxi from the airport cost 47 euro, hotel had expected 30ish more

This hotel looks nicer in the photos than it does in real life. Both it, and its sister hotel, Hotel Glaros, smell like one giant cigarette. It's also in a pretty rough neighborhood with not so much as a snack shop nearby. I had to move out after the first night. more

In September 2007 we stayed at Hotel Ideal for the second time, and we will come back! Nice rooms, very clean, new bathrooms, and perfectly helpful and friendly people at the reception. The street itself is not so nice, but don't panic, the hotel is worth its price. more

The only reason to stay here is its location to the ferry terminal. The management was friendly but if you dont ensure you get a room away from the road front - dont expect to sleep. Despite the closed windows the nightclub and local bar beneath goes on until 6am and is very loud. Expect to hear alot of shouting... more

This little hotel was renovated a couple of years ago and quite nicely done.. It's tucked away on a sidestreet in Piraeus about 8 blocks from the wharf and the hydrofoils to the islands. The price was most reasonable and the rooms were clean and homey. The staff was always able to cheerfully assist with questions and were quite helpful.... more
