Wasn't sure about staying in a B&B because we like to be autonomous, but Casa Miradouro was highly recommended in the Rick Steves book so we gave it try and it worked out well - large airy room, own bathroom, bottled water in the room, great view over the valley, etc. (Miradouro means viewpoint). We spent three nights in this beautiful setting: perfectly appointed rooms, beautiful gardens, lovely views out to the Atlantic one way and up to the castles the other. An absolutely lovely b&b. The room was very clean and spacious with an amazing view of Pena Palace. It is very pretty looking from the outside and the gardens are lovely to sit and read in. I would defininatly recommend this to anyone. The walk up the hill was a bit tiring but worth it. Sintra itself is beautiful. more

This is a delightful and cheery bed and breakfast that was recommended to us by a friend. Everyone we dealt with was very kind and helpful.
